Unfortunately, no. We only hire the best dermatologists, and we make sure they are board-certified. Our doctors care very much about doing a great job for the patients they support, but SkyMD does have to pay them too!
YES! That's what we do at SkyMD. We cover all 50 US States now, and you can see a doctor by uploading photos of your skin issue, or scheduling a live video conference with your dermatologist.
It depends. Your insurance plan controls the answer to this question, and you should check with them. You may have to go through your primary care doctor, but we are happy to receive a referral from your PCP to treat you, or we can check with your insurance beforehand on your behalf. Just send us a message through the platform or from the SkyMD home page, and ask us to help.
Pricing varies by the method of payment. We accept a ton of different insurances, so your price may be limited to just your co-pay, or you can bypass using your insurance and pay with a credit card. For cash/credit patients, our price is $89, before coupons or discounts get applied. We have a very sophisticated price quote tool that is free to use, and you can choose which way you want to pay for our services.
No waiting! Assuming you upload photos of your skin problem, you can use the platform immediately, and we will start working on your case right away. We try to greet every patient within minutes, and our doctors usually start working on your case within an hour, but sometimes they do need to sleep on things, and they may not fully diagnose you or share their thoughts until the next day. We do not want to rush them, as some cases are more complicated than others.
Just click on the See A Doctor button to initiate the process. Think of us as a typical medical office. It's super easy to walk-in without an appointment. Our front office staff are available 24x7, and can answer any questions you have. SkyMD is self-service, in that you fill out the online forms about your medical history and tell us what's going on with your skin. You can upload as many photos as you want, or request a video conference appointment. After you submit your case, our doctors will take a look and be back in contact with you from inside the secure platform.
