After shadowing several physicians in various fast-paced medical offices, she realized that she enjoyed the challenge of the field. Looking back, Dr. Matthews attributes her success from the support of her family and friends, as well as from the support of her pastors and church congregations at Greater Bethel Apostolic Church and Greater Blessed Assurance Apostolic Temple. She lives by the scripture in Proverbs 3:5-6 which states, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.”
