Angela N. Beckford MD, MPH, FAAD is a board certified and fellowship-trained dermatologist specializing in the treatment of acne and a wide range of skin conditions. Dr. Beckford completed her dermatology residency at Boston University School of Medicine after a surgical internship at Lenox Hill Hospital/New York University School of Medicine in Manhattan. During a diverse residency program she mastered the management of skin conditions in all skin types. Advanced training was obtained during a rigorous Skin Oncology Fellowship at Boston University School of Medicine where she received the distinguished MFD Award for Humanitarianism. Dr. Beckford was the recipient of the Outstanding Scholastic Achievement Award on receiving a Master of Public Health from Florida International University. In addition, she also completed an internship in Epidemiology with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Director of Health Promotion and Education Scholarships Program at the Miami-Dade Health Department. There she was awarded the Miami-Dade County Health Department’s Health Hero Award for Extraordinary Contribution to the SARS/smallpox national protocol. Dr. Angela Beckford has been involved in numerous dermatologic clinical research trials as well as medical school educational projects. Her enthusiasm for imparting clinical diagnostic skills has inspired many medical students and residents. She has presented on cutting edge cosmetic technology at national meetings such as the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS). Dr. Beckford has also co-authored numerous published peer-reviewed journal articles. She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, ASLMS, Women’s Dermatologic and the Skin of Color Societies. She has affiliated with Hackensack University Medical Center and Jamaica Hospital Medical Center.

Dr. Tang is a double board-certified and fellowship-trained dermatologist who attended Brown University in Rhode Island for both her undergraduate and medical degree. She completed her dermatology residency in New York City at Mt. Sinai Beth Israel-St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital, including specialty training in treating skin of color. After residency, she finished an intensive 1-year fellowship program in Mohs surgery and facial reconstruction at Mt. Sinai and was invited to be a Fellow of the American College of Mohs Surgery. Dr. Tang has been active in research and academic medicine, authoring multiple journal articles, winning a large digital technology grant to improve dermatology education, writing book chapters and speaking at several national medical conferences. After finishing medical school at UNTHSC, I started my intern year San Antonio Military Medical Center in 2012. The experience was incredible as well as the honor in serving fellow soldiers and airmen. After completing a residency in Dermatology, the Army had a need at Dwight D Eisenhower Army medical center in Augusta, Ga where I spent the remainder of my service obligation eventually becoming Chief of a midsize dermatology clinic. The experience was once again incredible. Throughout my military career I was able to care for soldiers wounded by IEDs, treat patients in a state of the art burn unit, medical and cosmetic laser therapy for burns and scars as well as general medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology.
